Syracuse University College of Law invites applicants for a Teaching Professor
position at the rank of Associate or Full Teaching Professor beginning fall 2019.
Our curricular needs are flexible, but special consideration will be given to
applicants with teaching experience in one or more of the following subjects:
constitutional law; property; various commercial law courses; and other
traditional first-year courses. Teaching Professors are full-time members of the
Faculty. This position will be for an initial 3-5 year contract period, depending on
experience and qualifications, and is eligible for renewal.
All candidates should have an excellent academic record. Candidates must have
at least a J.D. degree. A demonstrated commitment to excellent classroom
teaching is required. Candidates will be expected to teach a first-year course or a
core upper-division course, along with other courses that meet the needs of the
