Ball State University’s Department of Political Science is accepting applications for a full time contract position as Assistant Teaching Professor of Political Science available August 16, 2019.
Now entering its forty-first year, the Legal Studies Program at Ball State University offers a nationally ranked, American Bar Association approved bachelor’s degree. Our program serves a diverse group of students of over 170 majors, 31% of whom self-identify as minorities. Students engage in a rigorous cohort-based classroom curriculum along with immersive and hands-on experiences, such as the Access to Justice Project. Upon completion of their degrees, our students find success, as 97% of the graduates in the past four years have either entered law school or served in the legal profession.
Minimum qualifications: All requirements for Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school completed by date of appointment. Admitted to practice law in the state of Indiana, or will be admitted by date of appointment
Candidates must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred qualifications: Prior teaching experience and practical experience conducting legal research and drafting law related documents strongly preferred. Experience with running a law practice, legal technology, law review, and mock trial.
